Don't
worry. Weinberg underestimated us (DCDS, that is) the
entire year, and then was in shock when we defeated CC
to win the 2001 NAQT State Championship (we beat
Eisenhower in the semis). He came up to me and congratulated
me (my team members were elsewhere at the time)
after our victory, and then walked away, shaking his
head in disbelief.
I wouldn't call him mean,
just really competitive. But I'd say DCC deserved to
win the HSNCT last year. They took us badly in the
second half of the second finals game (they tend to be
good on lots of arts/no science
questions).
