2002 ABD-Super Brief Results

(Mike will have full details sometime soon, but
for those of you who must know everything
immediately, so forgive me also being somewhat
self-aggrandizing)

Congratulations go out to 75% Gerbil Free (Dwight Kidder, Anne
Mitchell, James Quintong, and Greg Sorenson as "The
Gerbil") for winning the 2002 Ann B. Davis Pop Culture
Festival with a perfect record of 12-0 and a 266-255 win
over The Attack of the Clones of Dr. Funkenstein
(Brian Hight, Jason Schwengler, Keith Hudson, and Jer
White) in the finals. In third place, Col. Klink, Why
Have You Foresaken Me? (Craig Barker, Haggai Elitzur,
Geoff Zmyslowski, and David Wallace).

Among the
Top Five of Ten named All-Stars were Michigan alum
Craig Barker, Gerbil Greg Sorenson, Michigan's Haggai
Elitzur, Washington, PA's Dwight Kidder, and Case
Western's Josh Levit (also your 2002 ABD Neg
King).

Fuller results to follow, as I stated, but my admiration
and thanks to Mike for all of the hard work on a
well-run and well-edited tournament, complete with a tasty
lunch, and to all of the moderators who helped make this
one of the highlights of my qb calendar.
