Eric, thanks for the clarification. We will, of
course, come up with some scheme that satisfies all of
the NAQT guidelines.
I also noted that hosts
cannot close registration until a week before the
competition. In an earlier missive, I told prospective schools
to respond by Feb. 1. I guess now, I should say Feb.
2.
As for the Saturday-only thing. The reason we did
that was because at the time we originally began
planning the event, the community college teams requested
that we host it on Saturday because they had a big
state Brain Bowl event on Friday. As I did not learn
until late December, the Jucos now have their own
competition. Thus, it was too late to change all the
reservations and schedules.
