I am not keen on any kind of censorship (except
perhaps self-censorship), and am not implying that the
people involved in the weirdo behaviors that I have
observed are 'bad' people, or even that a certain amount
of intentionally crude, iconoclastic behavior isn't
refreshing.
I'm just stunned at how many sharp quiz
bowl types have displayed what seems like good ol'
racism to me so very often.
