I didn't think there was any
controversy myself, but one of the Rhodes guys said that our
9-3 record wasn't as good as their 9-4 supposedly
because early in the day we beat the good teams but lost
to bad ones, so when we were supposed to play the
#10 (non existent) team in the swiss paired rounds,
we probably would have lost. I thought it was a
whole load of crap myself. It was pretty much just one
sore loser from Rhodes raising a fuss at the end. I
think when stats/results get posted in the future
everyone will see that we really did earn the
win.
