In reply to message #8620, I also played in the
Florida SCT, but (by my quick count) I believe we heard
249 tossups in 12 rounds, which is comparable to what
was heard in other some sectionals. Our two lowest
question totals were 16 and 17 (against FSU in both
cases).
On another note, Samer wrote a "comparing the
sectionals" message yesterday, giving the average points per
20 tossups and points per bonus for all teams in the
sectional. Of course, those aren't necessarily the average
stats for the teams that a given participant faced. FSU
played us (FAU) in 4 of their 12 matches, and our stats
were presumably (since we won) well above the
tournament average.
