As a bleed-blue-and-white Penn State Nittany Lion, I
can't say *too much* good about Pitt, but the quiz bowl
team consists largely of cool, interesting people who
don't mind that I come to most of their practices and
are happy to have my moderating help at their
tournaments.

don't watch prime-time TV other than sports, so I was
clueless about this until I randomly heard a snippet on
West Virginia Public Radio a couple weeks ago. Turns
out that I was on a statewide math team with her
sister as a senior in high school, and knew her (the
sister) reasonably well.
