TrashIt! - TRASH _at_ UCLA, 4/20

So you wouldn't be caught dead at ACF Nationals,
and you sure as hell aren't taking the MCAT. But you
still need something to do on the weekend of
April
20th.

Then try

TrashIt!

a
one-of-a-kind trash spectacular hosted by your friends at UCLA
on Saturday, April 20th.

Theme rounds? We
got 'em.
Unusual rules? We got 'em.
Wacky
gimmicks? We got 'em.
A hangover-friendly schedule, with
rounds not even starting until the afternoon?
We got
that too.

We're also holding the tournament in
Ackerman Student Union, so it's close to food and
parking.

The format will be a full round-robin followed by a
single round championship.
The field is currently
capped at 10 teams, but should there be
sufficient
staff and interest, we may expand.

Note:
Although the majority of the questions will be written by
UCLA folks, each team will be required to submit HALF
of a theme pack (with a theme more or less of the
team's choice). STARTING NOW, DO NOT DISCUSS YOUR THEME
WITH PEOPLE WHO MIGHT BE ON OTHER TEAMS. Packet
submission is absolutely required and cannot be waived, even
if you're willing to pay
extra.
But it's
trash, and you get to choose the theme, so how hard
could it be?

If you're interested, please
contact Patrick Friel at pfriel_at_.... If you're

representing a school or organization interested in fielding
multiple teams, I'll need
a contact for each team.
After emailing me, you'll hear more about packet
submission rules and the like.

Masters and
bastards welcome.

Fee schedule (per
team):
$70 base fee
-$5 for bringing a working buzzer
system (max. 1 per team)
-$10 for bringing a
qualified reader (max. 1 per team)
-$10 for submitting
your questions early (before April 1st)
+$10 for
submitting your questions late (after April
10th)

We're still thinking up some fun ideas for special
rules to use during particular rounds. If there's one
you'd like us to try, feel free to suggest
it.

Again, our size is currently capped at 10 teams, so
don't delay in replying.
