I don't know if some of the questions at CBI
Regionals were "intentional" hoses, per se... but I did
feel rather slighted numerous times at Regionals, not
just for myself, but for my esteemed teammates.
However, even though almost a full week has passed since
CBI Regionals, there have been no verbatim or
modified-verbatim *examples* of hoses, poorly-written questions,
etc. I can't speak for the rest of the club, but I
would definitely like to hear some of these
"knowledge-punishing" questions everyone's so quick to talk about, and
why the questions are "knowledge-punishing." Also of
interesting topic fodder is the "egregious" officiating and
moderating.
Unless, of course, it is taboo, or forbidden under law,
to discuss specific CBI questions and officiating
examples to back up one's comments, even though said
constructive, example-specific criticism is
more-than-acceptable for ACF, NAQT, and individual
tournaments.
