Copyediting? [Re: ACF reflections]

On the whole, the ACF regionals packets were
well-edited, although there were a few obvious repeats, as
well as some problems with the trash distribution
[(ACF) Trash >>= hip-hop and actor bios].

More seriously, however, there were a distressingly
large number of typos in the "final" version of packets
that the hosts received. There were clear signs of
packets having been edited--sometimes, it seems to make
the questions (particularly bonus leadins) more
concise--but the "old" version was not deleted. I mean by this
that there were lots of instances of "the works of
this author's works" and so on.

As a
constructive criticism, would it be possible for someone (one
of the other chief editors of ACF, perhaps) to "copy
edit" the final packets to make sure all obvious typos
and errors have been caught, flagged, and removed? I
don't think this would take very long per packet, and
would make the playing--and moderating!--experience
much more pleasant for everyone.
