ACF Nats 2002

Let me add my voice to the chorus of praise for Roger Bhan and his
editing/writing performance at this year's Nats ;) Seriously, he did
an incredible job and I had a blast even if my teammates didn't.
Congrats to Michigan, they were amazing. Kudos to Kentucky as well.
That was the most fun I've had at a QB tournament in a long time. I
don't have much in the way of criticism...but to toot FSU's horn a
little, I hope we finally get a little respect :) Before you refer
to our result as a fluke, note the bonus conversion ratios for both
the regular tournament and the playoffs--we were 4th in the regular
rounds and 3rd in the playoffs--behind only Michigan and Kentucky.
Considering our relative lack of tossup proficiency, our final result
was probably just right. (Of course our science bonus conversion was
pretty much a zed). Which leads to my only real criticism of the
tournament--the brackets were uneven and thus a little unfair. If
you look at bonus conversion--our bracket was clearly the most
difficult with Harvard, Chicago B and Texas A+M all with legitimate
claims that they could have possibly made the top flight. This is
not to disparage the other teams which made the top playoff bracket--
it was a difficult tournament all the way round and someone had to
get knocked out.

Anyway, looking forward to next year's edition.
