Here are some brief results from the 7th Annual Missouri State HS
Activities Association State Academic Tournament. Class 1A saw
Thomas Jefferson defeat Mound City, Class 2A saw Bernie defeat Purdy,
Class 3A saw Savannah defeat Priory, and Class 4A saw Cape Central
defeat Parkway Central. The overall top scorer was Melissa McCush of
Savannah, the first female to lead the whole state in individual
scoring. She's going to Truman State in the fall. Full results
should soon be up at www.mshsaa.org and contain 3rd place, 4th place,
and game scores, but probably not individual stats.
Jason Mueller, Mizzou frosh who's proud to say that his Class 2A
tournament scoring record is still intact and that Mike Wehrman's
overall tournament scoring record is still intact.
