The lack of a singles event this summer is somewhat disconcerting.
It's like biting into an Oreo cookie only to find that someone
has
already licked the cream out, or like finding out one of your moles
is really a tick, and that tick's name is Anthony De Jesus.
Therefore, I have decided to rectify this situation in the name of
all that is good and holy.
I am pleased to announce the BUSTA RHYMES INVITATIONAL EXTRAVAGANZA:
Pass the Le Corbusier, a Hilleman-style singles event that will be
hosted in conjunction with the 2002 Chicago Open. BRIE (insert X-ray
spectroscopy joke here) will be held the Sunday after the Chicago
Open on July 28, 2002.
The questions should be easily accessible to the majority of players,
yet challenging enough to blah blah blah…
BRIE will be open to anyone interested in playing. The cost will be
$10 per individual. Prizes will be awarded in the form of books and
maybe some other things if I can find anything cool. And by cool I
mean totally sweet.
If Berkeley, GW, or any other sites are interested in mirroring BRIE,
please get in touch with me at rsbhan _at_ hotmail.com. Also, please
feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding this
event.
I'm going into flip mode. Later.
