John Lawrence is the President of [[Yale]] Student Academic Competitions, and is known for his deep music knowledge. John Lawrence is the President of Yale Student Academic Competitions, and is known for his deep music knowledge. He wrote and edited the music for 2009's THUNDER tournament, and all arts for 2010 ACF Fall. He has been lit and visual arts editor at several incarnations of BHSAT, Yale's house-written high school tournament. In fall 2011, John wrote much of, and oversaw all of, the Lit and Fine Arts for MAGNI.

John was captain of the winning team at 2011 ACF Nationals, and had the second-highest number of powers at 2011 Chicago Open while playing on the 2nd-place team with Matt Weiner, Matt Bollinger, and Gautam Kandlikar.
