He won the [[2019 MSNCT]]. He also has two [[IAC]] History Bowl team championships: History Bowl JV Nationals (2019), and History Bowl Varsity Nationals (2022). Individually, he won the [[National History Bee]] twice (JV 2021, Varsity 2023) and the [[US History Bee]] once (Varsity 2023). 
At Georgia Tech, Ian was on the team that came in 2nd in [[2025 ICT]] DII, and won the Divison II title in [[2025 ACF Nationals]].
