Pleasant Plains is a public high school in Pleasant Plains, Illinois, which draws students from primarily western Sangamon County northwest of Springfield. It competes in Class A, the "small school" division, of the Illinois High School Association's State Championship series.

Along with Athens, Williamsville, & New Berlin, Pleasant Plains has been a perennial small-school contender from the Springfield area. The Cardinals most recently began their rise behind ace Kameron Wolters at the end of the 2010's.
