From 2001-2020, the Tennessee State Championship tournament was the Tennessee Academic Coaches Association State Championship. TACA's state championship has since been replaced by the Tennessee State Quiz Bowl Tournament hosted by Currey Ingram (2021-2023) and Tennessee Tech (2024-2025).
