Alaya Turner, sometimes referred to as Ringo Turner, was a player for Southaven High School in Southaven, Mississippi. She specializes in History, specifically presidential and political history. She served as captain of Southaven A for three years.


High School Career

Turner first joined Knowledge Bowl during the 2021-2022 school year, but did not attend tournaments until the following school year. She was named captain of the Southaven A team as a sophomore.


At the 2025 NAQT Mississippi State Championship, she won fourth place out of upperclassmen there (though the site will say otherwise). She was the only person of color to win the award, as well as any other award.
