Champions
The West Suburban Conference champion is decided officially by the winner of the 12 game regular season. The only tiebreaker is head-to-head, so in the case that the top two teams happened to have played each other twice and split, such as in 2011-12, the regular season title is split. The school that wins the regular season gets its name engraved on a board of all the winners, and the top four teams qualify for HSNCT.
The end of season conference tournament, confusingly, also determines an official champion. The format is a painstakingly slow single-elimination format, with teams still playing two games each week. The winner of the regular season decides where the tournament finals are held, but not where tournament preliminaries are held. The top two teams of the tournament qualify for HSNCT, though those teams most often already qualified by being top four during the regular season.
