Matt Pargeter was put into the NAC Hall of Fame after this tournament. Additionally, the tournament summary says "Brad Rutter also entered the NAC Hall of Fame this year, honored for his dominating performance with Manheim Township in 1994-95 and, of course, his big Jeopardy! wins in 2002 and 2005."

Smoky Mountain Home School and Shanghai American School were both named "Rookie of the Year."

St. Joseph's coach Ben Dillon was acknowledged in the summary as receiving "credit for this year's massive NAC rulebook revision." For comparison, the old rules and revised rules.
