In the semifinals, Rainbow defeated West Point for a chance to play Arab in a 3-game final. Rainbow won the first and last games to finish with an 8-1 record and a State Championship.

After winning the first game, Liberty managed to win the last two, leaving Rainbow 2nd overall. 8th Grader Russ McGlaughn broke the record for PP20TUH at Middle School State. Previously held by Krish Nathan at 128 PP20TUH, Russ achieved 156 PP20TUH.
