Connor Mayers was the captain of Penn Manor High School's quizbowl team. In 2019, he received the Benjamin Cooper Young Ambassador Award for organizing a tournament at Penn Manor that attracted a number of new-to-Saturday-tournament quizbowl teams. During the 2019 - 2020 school year, he played for Millersville University as a dual-enrolled student. He joined the Maryland quizbowl team in the Fall of 2020.
