Bharath Ram

Bharath Ram is current player for Georgia Tech Quiz Bowl. His primary interests are computer science, math, physics, and RMPSS. Bharath is also very passionate about a quizbowl variant called lobotomy, where the moderator reads every other word of the question.

Playing History

Bharath joined Georgia Tech Quiz Bowl during the 2023-2024 season and made his season debut at 2023 ACF Fall at UGA. While Bharath had a strong first tournament performance, unfortunately four of his tossups were falsely attributed to Pranav Jothi. Bharath would end his season with a 16 power performance at 2024 IQBT novice at Georgia Tech. His team GT B finished with a 9-2 record and won the tournament, giving him his first tournament win.

During the 2024-2025 season, Bharath followed up with another respectable performance at 2024 ACF Fall at UGA. Notably, he had a miraculous buzz against Tennessee A, where he first lined TU 20 to seal the 320-275 win. At 2025 SCT at Vanderbilt, Bharath had the best tournament performance of his career. He scored a career high 80 points to lead Georgia Tech D to a 330-320 upset victory over Georgia Tech C. Georgia Tech D would finish tied for 3rd place with a solid 8-3 record.

During the 2025-2026 season, Bharath helped Georgia Tech A to a 10-1 record and tournament win at Planetfall III at Vanderbilt.
