Britney hails from the small town of Napanee, Ontario and began playing Reach for the Top in Grade 10, as well as Whiz Quiz (trivia tournaments exclusive to the high schools in the Limestone District School Board). She joined the UOttawa trivia club in her first year of university and was elected president two years later. She was re-elected President for the 2010-2011 year, by a margin of one vote over teammate Brendan McKendy. She is studying Français langue seconde with a minor in études françaises and hopes to become a french high school teacher. In her free time she enjoys reading, tennis, badminton and yoga.
