-Since 2005, Centennial has also hosted an annual tournament each December, which is the largest in the DC metro area. Centennial's tournament used [[It's Academic]]-style [[speed check]] questions until 2010. In 2011, [[Chris Ray]] helped the school write and edit its own [[good quizbowl]] set, and in 2012 the school drew 66 teams in two divisions to compete on an [[NAQT]] A-set. It is thought that the consistently large field sizes of Centennial's tournament stem from its yearly physical mailing of schools across the region.
