Charlie Perkins (pictured with former Honaker coach Alex Zachwieja) played a semester or two for William and Mary, was Honaker's Captain in 2010, and is currently Head Coach at Honaker.
Also led a one-off unofficial Honaker team under the name of "Robert Zimmerman High School" at a 2010 NAREN mirror in Concord, NC. They finished in 4th place out of 14, a field which included teams like Raleigh Charter and Dorman.
He served as a Group Coordinator of the VHSL State Tournament in 2012, 2013, and 2015.
