Vicki Skelley maintained a long stint as the team's coach in recent years, but after her retirement in August 2014 coaching duties were thrown on Eric Vest, who at first showed an extreme disinterest in the role but later became receptive to A-team captain Brett Hogan's requests to give the team more opportunities to play. Thus, Fairview rivaled [[Lee Henry]]'s dominant [[West Point]] teams in the years that followed.

| − | Team captain Brett Hogan infamously started a GoFundMe campaign online in the spring and summer of 2016 to try and secure donations and support for the team. He went out and posted flyers at local grocery stores, convenience stores, gas stations, restaurants, and supermarket chains advertising the campaign along with the link, his phone number, and a plea for any help whatsoever. Unfortunately, they were to no avail. The campaign received only $10 from Brett Hogan's girlfriend before its deletion, which was due to its stagnation and the fact that most of the flyers were removed from each store within a week. However, Brett Hogan managed to tap other resources and the team received a flood of money for the next year.
