General Information

Fairview High School is a 9-12 public high school in rural Cullman County, Alabama. Fairview is coached by Eric Vest. The quizbowl club president is Brett Hogan.

History

Fairview's first quiz bowl team was organized in 1981. The team acquired a vast amount of titles and trophies at area community college tournaments throughout the 1990s. Fairview won its ASCA district in 1993, but the team did not compete in ASCA again tournaments until February 2017.

Dianne Bailey was the coach of Fairview's inaugural scholar's bowl team. Vicki Skelley maintained a lenghthy stint as the team's coach in recent years, but after her retirement in August 2014 coaching duties were taken over by Cold Springs native Eric Vest.
