The Hotchkiss history bowl program, from The Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, CT, known as Team Coldhug, was established during the 2018-19 academic year. Though they won the NHBB New England regional championship in their inaugural season, their most notable achievement to date came when freshman Cooper Roh carried them to a 2nd place finish at the 2019 National History Bowl finals in the JV division after an impressive "Cinderella" run in the tournament. They finished runners-up to a #1-ranked Hunter College A team that was led by Pedro Juan Orduz.
