Before becoming a professor of architecture at Ohio State and co-writing a book on architecture with Jacques Derrida, Jeff Kipnis was a student at Georgia Tech where, sometime in the early 1970s, he was the person who decided that untimed quizbowl rounds should have 20 tossups in a game.
