Jonathan Hess

Jonathan Hess played for Irmo in South Carolina until he graduated in 2002. Jonathan had much success at the national level. He was the top scorer at the HSNCT twice. Chip Beall claimed that the team Jonathan captained was the greatest team he ever saw, as they won the NAC twice. The fact that 8th graders are allowed to play at NAC is known as the Jonathan Hess Rule. He attended South Carolina, despite rumor that he went to Georgia Tech, where there is no record to show he ever played quiz bowl again.
