Julia Price was the captain of the Fort Zumwalt West team which took 4th place at the 2009 MSHSAA State Championship tournament, where she was the top scorer. She has been a member of the Fort Zumwalt West team for the past four years and will be attending the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the fall of 2009, where it is unknown whether she will be playing Quiz Bowl. Julia was recently voted the Top Female Quiz Bowl Player in Missouri in the Missouri Academic Competition Message Board Player Ranking Poll, though admittedly in a year relatively bereft of dominant female players. [1] Finally, she is currently working as a question writer with friend and high school Quiz Bowl rival Charles Hang, and recently wrote the questions for the 2009 Missouri Scholars Academy Scholar Bowl Playoffs with him, which were well received.
