MASSOLIT is a (college) regular difficulty literature side event written and edited by Noah Prince. It was played online in May 2017 in both singles (stats) and doubles (stats)) formats.

The set consisted of 10 packets of 20 tossups each with a few extras and can be found on QuizbowlPackets.

Style

As he mentioned in the forums announcement, Prince was inspired to write a literature-only event after playing Schindler's Lit at the 2013 HSNCT. Production began in spring of 2014 and continued until spring of 2017.

The question distribution was mostly standard, including a question in long prose, short prose, poetry, and plays from American, British, European, and World traditions in each packet. The remaining 4 questions each round were filled out by more American content along with 1 non-fiction and 1 "not quite canonical".

The primary reason the set took 3 years to produce was that Prince read every work mentioned in the set during the writing process.
