Mythology

A minor category of quizbowl questions, which asks about myths, legends, and folklore. Most mythology questions typically focus on Greco-Roman mythology, though Norse, Egyptian, Celtic, Mesopotamian, Japanese, and Mesoamerican myth systems also get major air time and other myth systems (Polynesian, various African systems, Slavic folklore, Chinese, etc. etc.) are also asked about from time to time.

NAQT groups mythology in as a subcategory of literature, whereas ACF and most other non-NAQT tournaments consider mythology to be a separate category or lump it in under RMP.

Notable mythology specialists include Seth Teitler and Matt Bollinger.
