Division placement is based on the oldest member of the team. As shown in the logo, there is a single "buzzer button" that each team uses. Optimist Brain Bowl is a middle school quizbowl competition for Colorado and Wyoming middle school students. It is sponsored by the Optimist chapter of Wyoming and Colorado. There are three regional tournaments held to decide which teams qualify for the championship tournament. Brain Bowl questions are supplied by Academic Hallmarks.
