R. Robert Hentzel is the President, CTO, and Chief Editor of NAQT. He is an alumnus of Iowa State University; his playing career also includes a number of appearances in west coast tournaments, playing on masters teams. At some point in his extensive career he seems to have won a tournament playing solo, though he is by no means one of only five players to do so. He also notably won the 2006 Carper Award, and his article should be expanded.
