Last year, as a sophomore, he was part of the DCC B team that upset the A team, only to lose in the final. After this, Ryan was looking forward to nationals. After the B team went 5-5 at HSNCT, Ryan did some soul searching with his consort [[Jarret Greene]] and decided that flashcards were the way to go.
