Britney hails from the tiny town of Napanee Ontario. She joined the Reach for the Top team at Napanee District Secondary School and later Whiz Quiz (exclusive to the high schools in the Kingston area). She joined the UOttawa trivia club in 2007, in her first year of university. She was elected president for the 2009-2010 year, and was re-elected president for the following year by a slight margin. In 2020 she completed her Master's degree in Bilingualism Studies at the University of Ottawa. Outside of teaching Grade 7 French Immersion, she enjoys volleyball, badminton, tennis, reading, vintage fashion and yoga.
