Fort Defiance High School has won 4 Valley District Titles in VHSL Scholastic Bowl (14-15, 15-16, 16-17, 17-18. In both the 2016-17 school year and 2017-18 school year, Fort Defiance finished second in Region 3C. Fort Defiance has also participated in the Richmond Battle of the Brains tournament and has four final four appearances in that tournament.
Past notable players include Joyner Miller, who has been a top three scorer at multiple high school NAQT style tournaments.
Erik Walker is the head coach.
