Prior to the 2014 VHSL Realignment, VHSL Region II was a VHSL region in class AA, consisting of schools with 700 to 1500 students lying, for the most part, in the Charlottesville area and the northwestern area of the Commonwealth. It contained the Dulles District, Evergreen District, Jefferson District, and Northwestern District. Like all VHSL regions, it sent two teams to the VHSL Scholastic Bowl state championship tournament for the sixteen-year duration of the original Scholastic Bowl tournament structure.
