Karthik Jayaram is a quizbowl player for UCLA and formerly The Walker School in Marietta, Georgia. He is known for his strong generalism, with particular specialization in Science and Fine Arts.
As a senior at Walker, he led the team to a 7th place finish at the 2025 SSNCT and a 13th place finish at 2025 HSNCT, where he scored 82 PP20TUH.
As a freshman at UCLA, he led UCLA B to the Division II finals at 2026 ICT and went 6/4/0 in the first game, forcing a second game. UCLA B would fall in the second game to a Columbia C team that included Robert Wang and Omkar Marathe.
Karthik has been observed to "hulk up," engaging in visible hyperventilation and appearing to absorb oxygen before unleashing a series of impressive buzzes on consecutive tossups.
Along with his former teammate at the Walker School, Rohan P. Jain, Karthik directed the creation of a mNAQT season for the 2026-2027 set called MONSTER. This set notably ran into some controversy during the Multi-Set Leak Incident perpetrated by Samin Asif.
