One that springs immediately to mind took place
at the 1999 NAQT ICT. After a match GW's team was
sifting through the packet we had just played on to
figure out which one of us had gotten each answer. (I
think it was because there was no official scorekeeper
and we decided to attribute the tossups after the
game.)
The exchange went something like this:
Me: Edmund
got the "Charter Oak". I got "Foglietta".
Jon: Tim
got "herpes".
It took a second for that one to
sink in before we all started laughing. Tim's been
hearing about his bad case of herpes ever since.

PS: for the record Tim does not actually have
