The results of the most recent Top 25 poll will
not be released, due to a strange set of
circumstances I will attempt to enumerate below.
1. I
received only 22 ballots, not enough under these
circumstances for the results to be considered statistically
meaningful in my opinion.
2. Of the 22 I received,
all _technically_ complied with the criteria I
listed. I received four ballots, however, clearly
designed to discredit the poll results. (This bloc ballot
resembled an apparently famous joke ballot submitted to
previous polls in several respect, and were nearly
identical to each other, causing poll-wide result
distortions.) The low number of overall ballots amplified the
effect these ballots had on numerical results.
It appears that, armed with 20/20 hindsight, that
the ballot exclusion criteria was clearly _not_ the
answer to the poll representation problem.
Results may be published at some future date for the
morbidly curious, possibly with votes suspected of being
in bad faith purged.
The poll, if it
continues to exist, will be revamped almost completely.
