I thought this needed to be said: In the past 3 years, UTC has had
teams from 4 HBCU's attend our tournaments: Morehouse, Alabama State,
Tennessee State, and Oakwood. A fifth (Southern U. of New Orleans)
came to UL-Lafayette's mirror of Sword Bowl. Two others had
tentatively scheduled to come to our tournaments, then had to cancel;
5 or 6 others have ordered practice questions from us. There would be
more participation by HBCU's if money weren't so tight, as it is in
all academic circles these days. Trust me, the interest is out there.
