Did you think there are no other high school quiz bowl competitions in Western New York? If so, you are mistaken. While there may not be other competitions run by college teams, there is the MasterMinds league competition run by various upstate BOCES (Board of Cooperative Educational Services) involving about 85 schools in the Buffalo and Rochester areas (plus another 10 or so in Albany). There may also be other competitions that I am unaware of. I know there used to be a quiz bowl competition in Cortland and Tompkins counties, but I don't know whether it still takes place.
