Re: Announcement: Flower City Invitational (High School)

Do not forget the army of the Liechenstein making a very special stop
in the Flower City as part of its world tour.

Why is Rochester the Flower City? Last I heard, they get lots of
snow and stuff.

I believe "premiere" in this context means the only collegiate-run
high school tournament, run by certified quiz bowl players. Most of
those state-run joints are communist mystery meat run by drones with
suits. So glad we own the show in my state.

in Western New York? If so, you are mistaken. While there may not
be other competitions run by college teams, there is the MasterMinds
league competition run by various upstate BOCES (Board of Cooperative
Educational Services) involving about 85 schools in the Buffalo and
Rochester areas (plus another 10 or so in Albany). There may also be
other competitions that I am unaware of. I know there used to be a
quiz bowl competition in Cortland and Tompkins counties, but I don't
know whether it still takes place.
