ANNOUNCEMENT: Ironhead Invitational at University of Pittsburgh

Hi everyone,

The University of Pittsburgh Quiz Bowl would like to announce that
it'll be hosting Ironhead Invitational III on Saturday, March 29,
2003. This event is a Trash tournament that will mirror the other
Ironhead events. It will be held in the Cathedral of Learning, the
tallest educational building not located on the Vorobyevy hills, and
home to the vending machine that is one of only two known sources of
Snyder's of Hanover "Coney Island Hot Dog and Mustard" ruffled
potato chips (the other being a rest stop on Interstate 79 in West
Virginia).

Individual prizes will be largely drawn from our collection of
useless and undesirable books. Prizes in the past have included a
guide to learning Esperanto written in Lithuanian; "Classrooms in
the Military" by Harold F. Clark and Harold S. Sloan; the complete
statistics of Sweden's merchant marine fleet from 1953; a pulp novel
from the 1950's entitled "The Restless Passion"; and a biography of
Bill Cosby written in Estonian.
