We've had a few teams express interest in attending WUAT's first ever trash tournament on Saturday, March 22. There's still more than enough time to register, if you want a fun way to spend a Saturday in STL or you're on spring break and want to attend a tournament for free. Here's the pertinent info.: Washington University Academic Team is pleased to announce that it rescheduled its trash tournament, Saint Louis' Unbelievable Trash Tournament: The Jamie Doenges Memorial, for Saturday, March 22, 2003. I don't believe that conflicts with anyone's tournament, but if it does someone pass me a note and we'll work it out. The tournament will be all house written and the pay structure is as follows: Base fee $65 Discount for a functional buzzer $10 Discount for a competent moderator/official (as needed, competency as determined by WUAT) $10 21st Birthday Gift for the Tournament Director $10 Minimum fee $35* *OH I realize that there are teams who might want to attend but it's their spring break. If you come to SLUTT and any member of your team (assuming it's bastard) has given up part of his or her spring break, y'all play free. We will probably use the punt rule for boni, but aside from that the rules are the same (20/20 untimed) as what is used by most TRASH/trash tournaments. All people regardless of whether they are students, dinos, young, old, clothed or nude (within reason) are accepted. We will have wonderfully trashy prizes and should be doing a retrospective in honor of Miss Doenges, who embodies the spirit of the tournament better than anyone I could possibly imagine.
