TRASHionals Syxx: Results

    Thanks for the good word, Dave.  Now, onto the TRASH news...

    The Mike Keenan Employment Agency, LLC (Craig Barker, Mike 
Burger, Anne Mitchell, Haggai Elitzur) became the first team to win 
three TRASHionals championships, beating defending champions 
BATTLEPLANET!! in the finals of TRASHionals Syxx: Revenge of the 
Lightning Kid at Boston University in Boston, MA.

    Trailing by one game thanks to BP having both a better record and 
the head-to-head advantage in the round-robin, MKEA stormed back with 
two wins in competitve, close matches.

    As Dave Hayes noted in his earlier post, two highlights of the 
championship were...

    -- The FIRST-EVER Dance Dance Revolution physical bonus, as Dave 
Murphy earned 15 points for dancing to the arrows to a putrid remake 
of Duran Duran's Ordinary World.  Dave, having never played DDR in 
his life, managed to hit 34 steps in a row at one point.

    -- Another ovation going to a bonus which simply was a call from 
TRASH to players not to hate the French, but rather hate French 
Stewart.

    For their win, the Keenans received the TRASHionals belt (now 
with a listing of past winning teams and players on the back!), an 
automatic bid for TRASHionals 2004, the board game versions of 
Concentration, Big Brother, Password and Masquerade Party, some 
beanpots with Boston baked beans inside, and a ceramic rooster.
