I remember that back in 2000 (my junior year in high school) only 2
of the 32 Missouri high school all-staters were female. I don't
remember the numbers from 2001 or 2002, though; I know there were at
least two in 2001 and at least two in 2002, including Melissa McCush,
the overall high scorer. Also, I was the only male on Missouri A at
Rollapalooza 2001, and I think my three female teammates all had more
testosterone than I did. Anyway, I'm helping out at the state high
school tournament tomorrow, and I'll try to report back results and
all-staters for you all to enjoy.
